Fall weather is officially creeping in, which means cozy reading season is in full swing. The leaves are crunching, the candles are lit, and suddenly I'm buried under a mountain of books that all feel urgent. 

I'm one of those people who always has multiple reads going at once, partly because of my ever-growing TBR pile, but mostly because of these dang book clubs. One group wants me to read the buzzy new release, another swears I'll love some underrated classic, and then a friend texts me, "You have to read this one, it'll change your life." Naturally, I cave.

  • Last month, I even led book club and picked The Women, a historical fiction novel that’s basically a requirement if you’re a girlie who loves reading with her friends. The vibes were immaculate. My execution was not so much. 

    By the time the meeting rolled around (after I pushed it back two weeks, oops), I was frantically sprinting through the last 60 pages on the very day. So yes, I’m drowning in stories, characters, and deadlines that are entirely self-inflicted. 

    Will I ever slow down? Probably not. And honestly, would I even want to?
